Women's Ministry

Presbyterian Women (PW) is the national women’s organization of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)

Membership in Presbyterian Women is open to all women. We hope you will find here a means to nurture your faith through prayer and Bible study, support the mission of the church worldwide, work for justice and peace, and experience fellowship among a caring community of friends. It is a great way to meet other women in the church.
We invite you to choose to participate in a circle (…visit several) or attend any of our scheduled events (gatherings) as they are announced.
Our circles meet once a month from September through May in a variety of places but always at the same times:
  • Esther Circle: Second Thursday morning coffee meeting in members’ homes, 9:30 a.m. (see upcoming events below for the next scheduled meeting place)
  • Lydia Circle :  Second Tuesday earlyevening light meal and meeting in the Blue Room at the church 5:15 p.m.until 7 pm.  Child care available with advance notice.
  • Martha Circle: Second Wednesday morning coffee meeting in the church parlor, 9:30 a.m. (baby-sitting available)
  • Rebecca Circle: First Tuesday morning coffee meeting in members’ homes or the church parlor, 10:00 a.m. (see upcoming events below for the next scheduled meeting place)
  • Ruth Circle: Second Tuesday morning coffee meeting in the church parlor, 9:30 a.m.

In addition there is a Mission Sewing Group that meets year round in the Activities Room every first, third, fourth and occasionally fifth Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m.

New circles may be formed at any time; if you have a group of friends who would like to get organized we would be glad to assist you. Please call the church office for more information.

    There's Always Room for You!
  • P.W. Collecting Hygiene Kits for Haiti
The Presbyterian Women are sponsoring the collection of Hygiene kits for Haiti in response to a request from the Church World Service. Please consider this project for your family. Assembling one or two of these kits can make a big difference in the lives of the Haitian people. The kits should contain the following: 1 hand towel, 1 washcloth, 1 wide-tooth comb, I nail clipper, I bar of soap (bath size in wrapper), 1 toothbrush (in wrapper) and 6 band-aids. Seal all items in a one-gallon zipper plastic bag. Do not add toothpaste as it will be added prior to shipment. The approximate cost is $10 for each kit. Place kits in the provided box in the Welcome Center. Due to the urgent need of the Haitian people, this project needs to be completed as quickly as possible.
                                                                   20th Annual Women’s Retreat
On March 7, 14, 21, and 28, there will be a table in the Narthex for registration for the Women’s Spring Retreat (April 16, 17 and 18). There will be maps to Camp Allen and other general information about the Retreat available at the table. A member of the Retreat Team will be there before and after each service on those days to answer questions and to receive your registration form. Registration closes on Thursday, April 1.
