Interim Pastor
Bob Murphy

Bob Murphy lives in Houston and, since moving to Texas, has specialized in Interim Ministry over the last four years, serving St. Johns, Southminster, and First, Sugar Land. Bob is a sixth generation Presbyterian, and he's married to Laurey Murphy, pastor of Spring Branch Presbyterian Church. They have two grown children, Katherine and Hunter, who live in the Carolinas. Bob was educated at Stetson University (Marine Biology), Columbia Theological Seminary (M. Div.), and McCormick Theological Seminary (D. Min.). His vision for the church in this transition phase is to enable the congregation to be prepared for calling a new pastor. This includes taking serious inventory at every level of church life, from programming and evaluating, to a readiness to embrace God's future for this congregation.

Associate Pastor
John Dearman

John Dearman is a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas receiving a B.A. in History and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. John grew up in the Presbyterian church and hails from Austin, Texas. Having a passion for missions, he went to La Paz, Bolivia for two years after college, where he worked on discipleship and leadership development. While there he met his wife, Vanessa. During seminary God blessed them with twin sons, Andrew and David, so there is never a dull moment at the Dearman house. John enjoys playing soccer and racquetball and spending time with his family, and hopes to spend some time at the lake. John will oversee the Youth ministry and Children's ministry, with a focus on children realizing their full potential as sons and daughters of God. John's vision for the church at large is to return to investing in others through discipleship in a way that when one person pours the love of Christ into another the process does not stop, but rather continues on to the next person in a multiplying way.
