God wants to use you!
At First Presbyterian Church of Conroe we believe that ministry, our giving to God of our time and talents, begins as soon as we become followers of Christ. So no matter what you're good at, God wants to use you to bless people in need, inside and outside of our church! Give us a call at the church office or stop in some time and we'd be glad to talk with you about where God might be calling you to serve. God bless you as you listen to God's call!
MUSIC!
Our choirs serve the church weekly with music, along with 3-4 special services yearly that include instrumentalists from both inside and outside the church. They also hold scholarship positions for talented high school or college singers. Members of our choirs sing at either the 8:30 am or 11:00 am services (or both). Their weekly practices are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm until roughly 8:30 pm.
Our handbell ringers serve in worship by playing special musical offerings, and enhancing our hymn-singing. They serve during 8:30 am and 11:00 am worship once every 6-10 weeks. Their weekly practices are on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm (excluding summer).
Our Bridge band is another musical experience that plays at the 9:45 am service. They play many popular worship songs to sing along with, while also enhancing worship with many other styles from folk to jazz to blues. Their weekly practices are on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm.
If you have interest in any of the music groups here at FPC, please email Brandon Folts at bdf1215@yahoo.com.
Help Wanted!
Kid's Sunday School Teachers
Are you a teacher at heart or just feel that God is calling you to help kids and students better their relationship with Jesus? If you said yes, then we want to talk to you. Please contact Rev. John Dearman if you want to teach this next school year or just want to know more.
Random Act of Kindness Cards!
Don’t forget to grab some cards and share the love of Christ in small ways! These cards with a message and information about our church are available at the Welcome Center desk. Just pick up a few and then do something nice for neighbor, friend, or a random stranger and give them a card. You could pump someone’s gas, or rake a lawn, or give a server at a restaurant a big tip, pay for someone’s coffee in line at a coffee shop, volunteer to take a neighbor’s child to school for a week, etc. Be creative and share Christ in a small but special way!
